If the item you are hoping to redeem requires more points than you currently have, there unfortunately is no option to pay the difference or to add points to your balance by purchasing them.
The reason for this is because of tax requirements. Adding funds to your account would make tax reporting very difficult for your organization. To ease this burden and simplify the process there is no option to add additional points.
However, though you cannot add points, you do have options to still receive what you would like. In most cases points accrued do not expire as long as you are with the company, and can thereby be "saved up" for specific items. Also, with over 600 million products available through Amazon Business, there are near limitless options available to you as you redeem your points.*
