Amazon Business Surveys Follow
This article will help you to get set up on Amazon business and respond to Amazon business surveys.
Getting set up on Amazon business is an integral part of using the Awardco Platform (there are very few instances where this may not apply). Amazon incentivizes businesses to operate on Amazon by making business accounts free, but they also require information to verify the business status of their customers. While it may seem counterintuitive to share this information so readily, if Amazon cannot acquire the needed information, Awardco will be accountable for acquiring the same information. In order to avoid excessive burden on all parties, it is suggested that being careful and complete with these surveys is best practice.
Steps to verify
Respond to the survey sent to you by our Awardco representative with this needed information:
- “First” and “Last” name of your company representative.
- Business Address
- Business Phone #
- Tax ID info (optional)
Process
For non-US accounts, add the appropriate tax ID information on the given fields of the survey. As the surveys are set up, these fields are optional; however, the addition of this information greatly increases the likelihood that Amazon will be able to quickly verify your business and create the new account.
It is imperative that you take great care for the information provided. Incomplete or incorrect data can delay launch up to several weeks. Be available for contact. An Amazon representative may contact the phone number you provide in the survey to ask for additional information. Responding to their communication is another way to facilitate the account being verified and created promptly.
Once the Amazon has verified your business and created the account at any of these steps, no further information is needed, and the account will never have to be reverified.
Once we have a business account setup for your business, orders placed on our platform by your employees in that country will be processed quickly and automatically, and the reports on that account will be unique to your company and easy to access.
Troubleshooting
Follow up contact from an Awardco representative (most frequently your Implementation Consultant) may occur, especially for non-US accounts. If Amazon is unable to verify the given information or contact you by phone within 24 to 48 hours, they will contact Awardco via email asking for the information or documents they need.
If contacted by us, please provide the final information or documents that Amazon has requested. They may ask for things like a copy of your VAT certification (screenshot is acceptable), a company invoice, or other certifications. In most cases for Europe Amazon will require an Employment verification letter for the person whose name is on the survey. If required, all that is needed is a very simple letter with an official company letterhead that includes: the employee’s name, start date, status as a full or part time employee, and the address of the company. For all documents that you provide, please be sure to censure any sensitive, private, or billing information.
