Enabling Multi-Language Transactional Emails Follow
Many organizations have employees that speak different languages. With Awardco you can enable your platform to automatically send transactional emails such as birthday notifications, anniversary emails, and others in the appropriate language to all employees. Each user in your platform can be assigned a language either during initial user import, in the users tab by an Admin, or in the “My Account” section by the user.
Initial Import
When initially importing users via a CSV file, there is now a column for "Language" where you can specify which language the user prefers. This will be added to their profile when the file is uploaded. When importing users and assigning preferred languages using this method, please note that you must import the language using the ISO 639-1 code. For example, English must be written "en". The full list of available languages with their accepted format is listed below. (Please note these ISO codes are not case sensitive)

“Users” tab via Admin Portal
Uploading the language preference of users can also be done via the admin portal under the "Users" tab. Navigate to the "Add User" section and you can select the preferred language upon upload of single users.
“My Account” via User Portal
Users can also update their own language preferences on their profile by navigating to My Account > Profile. From this section the preferred language can be altered at any time.
When an email is sent for an anniversary, birthday, program, or service milestone each employee will receive this email based on the language preference that has been selected. The default language setting is English, but can be changed at any time using one of the three methods outlined above.
Email Bundles
In the Admin > Settings > Email Templates section each Admin can add “bundles” of emails to their platform if they wish to customize what is said in these particular emails. These bundles are groups of emails that have been assigned to a particular group, such as anniversary emails, birthday templates, and recognition templates. You can upload these bundles and customize the message inside it if you wish, otherwise the template will be sent with the wording we've uploaded.
Admins can add bundles of emails to their platforms and can add the language variants of the same template. Each bundle has a default language assigned (English) that will be used if the recipient does not have a language chosen on their profile or if the chosen language does not exist in that bundle. Adding these bundles will enable the sending of different language emails for each of the bundles selected. It is important to remember that these bundles do not have to be activated in order for multi-language transactional emails to be sent. The function of these bundles is only if you wish to customize the message in certain emails.
