Choosing an Image
Utilizing the Awardco home page banners is a great way to brighten and personalize your platform's welcome page. With our home page templates, there are two options for customizing the banner images:
- The Awardco Standard Sets - Because these images are dynamic, sets come with four images and change according to time of day. You can choose all four within a set or just go with one image. To view our three standard sets (Landscape, Cityscape, or Beach), please see the sections below.
- Create Your Own Image - You also have the option to create your own image. This image should be sized at 2000 x 660 pixels. If you create your own image, please remember that the profile widget and support information box will be displayed on top of the image (see the screenshot above). A downloadable Photoshop template can be found at the bottom of this article to help your design team further visualize where this overlay will be. One thing to note, if you would like text to be displayed on top of the banner image, this text should be provided to your Awardco contact who will have the Awardco design team build it into the site. The text over the image should not be included as a part of the banner image. This is because the width of the webpage is variable. The Awardco design team will create title text that is dynamic and adjusts depending on the width of the browser window. When submitting custom content, submit the banner image and the text to be displayed over that banner image separately.
Do not include any text as part of the banner image itself. This may get cropped when the banner adjusts to accommodate different screen sizes.
Do not submit a banner image if it has specific elements that you do not want to be potentially covered. (Example: logos, people's faces, etc.) The Profile Information Widget will adjust its placement based on the screen size, and may end up covering different parts of the banner image as different times, depending on screen size.
