New Microsoft Teams Integration: Linking Your Account and Recognizing Follow
This article will walk you through the steps of adding the Awardco site to a channel in Microsoft Teams. In order for this to work, you must be using the desktop version. Once setup is complete, it will also work on mobile devices. Due to security reasons, this method will not work if you are accessing Teams in the browser.
Step 1
Pick the channel you would like to add Awardco to. Awardco will be added as a tab at the top of the channel. You can use an existing channel or configure a new channel.
Step 2
At the top of the channel, click “+” to add a tab.
Step 3
Select the Website tile. You may need to search or scroll down if it doesn’t appear on the main page.
Step 4
Name the tab. It can simply be “Awardco” or it can be branded for your recognition program. Next you’ll want to paste your Awardco URL into the field provided.
If you choose, you can post to the channel about this tab. It will notify users that the tab was created and is available at the top of the channel.
Step 5
Login. Each user will need to sign in. The page will automatically redirect if Single Sign On is the only option.
Step 6
Navigate the site as you normally would. Recognize, view the feed, and even spend points.

You can still use the classic integration with Awardco and have recognitions post back to the same channel where the tab is located.

Users will not receive Awardco notifications in Teams. Users will continue to receive notification emails.
